In June 2024 London based sound and lighting company Full Affect were approached to provide an installation for the newly renovated Old Essex Barn. The client requested a distributed audio system that could handle background to mid level playback as well as some live microphones and acoustic acts.

Jack Sheppard from Full Affect worked with AUX Import to specify the incredibly popular Ecler NIMBO-24 2x4" installation loudspeakers. Not only did this fit the client requirement in terms of performance but also sat very sympathetically with the stylish interior design. Given the Ecler NIMBO-24 also features an IP54 rating this was not only the perfect product for the indoor but also the outside spaces. The NIMBO-24's were augmented by 3pcs of Ecler ARQiS-SB10i 10" installation subwoofers, which were compact and discreet enough to be integrated almost invisibly.

Finally there was a requirement for background music in the garden area which was a perfect application for the Ecler IG-108 in ground loudspeakers. Requiring no mounting and partially buried in the ground, the IG-108 gives excellent coverage in a 6m radius around the loudspeaker, and with 6pcs in use for this garden all areas were covered with evenly distributed sound.

Power and control were all placed within a single rack utilising the Ecler MIMO-88SG for system control, combined with a Ecler WPNET-TOUCH 10" touch screen installed in the bar area as a user interface. Amplification was courtesy of two of the Ecler HADA-4B500 4 channel DSP amplifiers and one Ecler eHSA2-150 high impedance amplifier to drive the IG-108's in the garden.
